HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS
These are not demo-only workshops. You will get your hands dirty and return home with your own project in hand. In addition, you are encouraged to bring along a personal project(s) and Mark will spend some time going over it with you. In a recent class, a student brought a hood scoop he had built for an old drag car from the late ’60s. An accomplished craftsman in his own right, the student was impressed by Mark’s insightful comments. Mark suggested using a straight edge ruler to find the high and low spots in the hood, so they could be worked out without the use of a grinder, keeping them from removing too much metal. This is just one of many examples of our workshops have benefited past students.
STUDENTS – WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?
Students representing all walks of life, from professional to weekend warrior, have participated in past classes. If you have never taken a class before and feel somewhat intimidated, please don’t let that stop you. Many former students have told us they shared that same feeling until attending a session.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Every student receives a certificate stating he/she has completed a workshop at the end of the session.
ONE-DAY WORKSHOP TUITION - $200
Classes are restricted to 12 people for a One-Day Workshop to allow for personal attention to each student’s needs. Lunchtime is a show-and-tell of your current projects and an excellent time to ask questions and get to know your fellow students.
TWO-DAY ADVANCED WORKSHOP TUITION - $500
Restricted to students who have attended the One-Day Workshop — and have discussed the type and scope of a personal project with Mark before attending. Limited to 6 students.
TUITIONS INCLUDE
Instruction, use of tools and materials for projects performed in the workshop. Also included are snacks and lunch each day and printed handouts. Excluded are materials needed for personal projects.
SPECIAL GROUP RATES/CHOICE OF LOCATION
If you have a group of five or more students, a workshop concentrating on a special area of interest or skill level can be set up. Call Mark at 937.473.2229 (8am - 5pm daily) for options.
